YUKIO CHIDORI   千鳥 幸生   ( Shakuhachi  尺八 )

 

 

千鳥氏隨尺八大師及聖流創始人福田輝久學習尺八。現居香港教授尺八及推廣日本傳統音樂。

 

千鳥氏演奏的範圍非常廣泛,包括尺八古典本曲,三曲合奏以至當代作曲家的作品首演及流行曲演出。千鳥氏的演奏活動主要以香港為中心,也在海外舉行演奏會。千鳥氏的演奏曾經於香港和東京的電台播放,他亦在ISCM國際現代音樂協會主辦的音樂會中作公開表演。

 

千鳥氏經常在本地及海外音樂廳演出,亦曾應邀出席眾多國際性音樂活動,包括聯合國教科文組織及在香港日本國總領事館所舉辦的各類音樂活動。他亦以獨奏家身份與香港城市室樂團及英國作曲家卡爾詹肯斯(Karl Jenkins)一起同台演出。2018年10月千鳥氏亦於東京歌劇城與師匠福田輝久及法國的尺八演奏家一起同台演出。

 

除傳統音樂外,千鳥氏也積極將尺八帶進流行音樂世界,如2018年4月參與本地歌手周柏豪的新碟錄音工作;2018年6月也以尺八演奏家身份在「2018 HINSIDEOUT 張敬軒演唱會」於舞台上為歌手張敬軒伴奏,讓更多人認識日本傳統音樂。

 

日本尺八大師福田輝久於2019年授予千鳥氏「師範」資格及竹號(聖明),肯定他在尺八界的實力與地位及於日本傳統音樂上作出的貢獻。

 

千鳥氏獲著名作曲家及時任中文大學音樂系系主任陳永華教授邀請,於2001年開始任教於中文大學音樂系。他也有參與日本傳統音樂的作曲工作。透過教授尺八,各類講座、致力普及尺八音樂。

Yukio Chidori started learning shakuhachi in 1997 and he has been studying shakuhachi under the renowned master Teruhisa Fukuda, the founder of the Hijiri School / Sainte-École since 2007.

He subsequently performs in various performances organized by The Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong. He has also given many performances at universities and concert halls in Hong Kong and Japan in an effort to promote traditional Japanese music. These included a performance held as part of the 2007 ISCM-ACL World Music Days Conference and a public performance in 2018 at the Tokyo Opera City with Teruhisa Fukuda and other shakuhachi players from France. In 2012, he was invited to perform with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong at the debut of Karl Jenkins "Requiem" under the baton of the composer himself.

 

Besides traditional Japanese music, he also shows great interest in jazz and popular music. In 2018, he made a recording of shakuhachi for a pop song with the Cantopop singer Pakho Chau. In the same year, he has performed as a shakuhachi soloist with the top Cantopop singer Hins Cheung at the Hong Kong Coliseum. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Shihan (Master) and the name of “Seimei 聖明” (Wisdom).

 

He is currently a lecturer (Shakuhachi) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Music Department.
